Client: Undergraduate Admissions
Audience: Underrepresented Students
Team: Jocelyn (Designer); Multimedia Producer; Writer
The Diversity Yield Publication was created to improve yield rates among diverse students. Its concept weaves diversity into the design, imagery, and typography, reflecting the lived experiences and emotions that BIPOC and LGBTIQA+ students may face when beginning their college journey at IUP. Each student’s story is presented with care, authenticity, and respect.
I worked closely with the Multimedia Producer to select portrait locations and develop detailed shot lists for the publication. This project is especially meaningful to me because it becomes more personalized and refined each year to better reflect the featured students. For example, I had the idea to incorporate Iya’s photography into her spread and collaborated with her to make the best selections, allowing her personal story at IUP and her creative talents to take center stage.
